Library Instruction Program

The Library Instruction Program is designed to give freshmen and transferee students an overview of the library, its access to resources and services, teach them the basic skills in the retrieval of books effectively and efficiently using the FOLLET-DESTINY LIBRARY Manager. Other topics include the introduction of general reference sources, access to E-Library, eResources like PROQUEST Central, Directory of Open-Access Journal Databases, ERIC Portal, etc.

Fifty-three (53) English classes attended the instruction program, 2 hours per session. Class lectures were done interactively through power point presentation. Short quiz was given (30 items) and survey for the library instruction effectiveness was also conducted after the end of each session. Generally, as the result revealed, Library Instruction Program is indeed a best approach for the students to inculcate the value and importance of the library in the teaching learning processes.
